Peter Lester PGA has more than 40 years experience as a professional golfer, starting his career in 1978 and completing his PGA training in 1986.

A relatively new addition to the Algarve golfing scene, Laranjal has narrow fairways and a well-protected green, and provides an enjoyable challenge to visiting golfers.
The North course of the Quinta do Lago golf resort is an anti-clockwise loop of 18 holes featuring several lakes. A challenging, but picturesque terrain.
A European Tour golf course that has hosted the Portuguese Open eight times, the Quinta do Lago South course features wide tree-lined fairways with a few hills and some difficult approach shots.

Just back from our first golf lessons with Peter in the 4 Seasons. He organised the hotel and airport transfers. All I had to do was organise flights. The hotel is lovely and the bar staff are particularly nice. It is only a 5 minute walk to the driving range. We had 3 morning sessions there.
My wife has been playing golf intermittently for 10 years and despite countless lessons has struggled. After 2 days she was hitting all her clubs with confidence. She is now in love with the game- thanks to Peter’s skills. He keeps it simple and teaches easy routines to follow.
I have played golf for 30 years and my last lesson was 25 years ago. He subtly changed a few basics which improved things dramatically. His great skill is his ability to assess you and work with you – not lecture you which was my experience of other teachers.
We cannot praise Peter enough for the improvement he made in such a short time

Starting any new sporting activity in your 60s can be daunting to say the least but a recent stay at the Four Seasons prompted me to book a one off golf lesson with Peter Lester.
The setting of the Pinhal Golf Course surrounding the Hotel was breath taking and after watching golfers navigate the course from my apartment, I just had to try a lesson with Peter.
What a pleasure to meet him and to have a 90 minute lesson to inspire me on my return to England. Despite having a few lessons back home, it was Peter’s capacity to analyse my capabilities and offer achievable suggestions, that had an impact.
Totally relaxing and great fun.

Excellent Teacher Resulting in Real Improvement.
Booked 4 lessons with Peter and to start with Clare was very helpful in arranging times that suited me and my holiday.
Peter was very pleasant on 1st meet and had me feleing relaxed and able to talk openly and demonstrate my then level of golf by the 2nd lesson he had my swing changed to a more natural position resulting in an improved connection with the ball which was immediately notable with each shot/club.
I would highly recommend lessons with him for anyone at any standard as he has a lot of experience and a natural way which is sure to improve your game at any level.
Will definitely book with him again when i return.
Great golf experience in Vilamoura !
Three years after taking my green card, I was quite frustrated by my irregularity. When reading about Vilamoura and its famous golf facilities, I decided to travel there with the aim to improve and take some classes and found Peter on this website.
Despite the last minute approach by email/phone, Peter and Clare managed to offer me a complete proposal corresponding to my needs : club rentals, lessons, hotel shuttles and green fees at my most convenient time of the day. This was really appreciate and the best was that the overall price of the prestation was far below my expectations for an all-in-one solution!
Peter is a great coach and was really patient and pedagogic with me. His tricks and tips were really useful and after 6hrs, my swing and my shots had now nothing to do with before. My putting was not bad at all, and now even better. I just can’t wait for my next holidays to come back and take the next step!!
