Peter Lester PGA has more than 40 years experience as a professional golfer, starting his career in 1978 and completing his PGA training in 1986.
He is one of the most experienced coaches in Portugal, having taught some of Europe’s leading amateurs and top professionals, and his winning method is sought out by golfers of all levels from young children to seniors, and from beginners to tour professionals.
Peter was previously Head Professional in south Sweden, establishing and running one of the country’s best teaching academies between 1992 and 2002, during which time he coached players competing on the world amateur and professional tours, as well as looking after 1,300 members of all backgrounds and abilities.
While playing professional and as a coach, Peter regularly visited the Algarve to take part in golf schools and training on the region’s championship courses.
He eventually moved full-time to region, holding the positions of Head Professional at both the Hotel Quinta do Lago and the Vila Sol Resort, before setting up his own academy.
He is an expert on the local courses with deep ties to the golfing community in the region.
